Start with a free application for an ESA letter or Psychiatric Service Dog (PSD) letter. Compare pricing before deciding whether to continue with an individualized evaluation from a Texas-licensed mental health provider.
Letters document a disability-related need. An optional letter companion certificate or ID may summarize issued documentation, but it does not register or certify the animal, create legal status or guarantee approval.
Compare Texas ESA Letter and PSD Letter Evaluation Prices
Each option includes an individualized review by a Texas-licensed mental health provider. Documentation is issued only when supported by the provider’s clinical judgment.
Texas ESA Letter Evaluation for One Animal
Housing-focused Emotional Support Animal evaluation
$169professional evaluation fee
For a Texas resident seeking an ESA housing letter involving one support animal.
If the licensed provider determines after the professional evaluation that ESA or PSD documentation is not clinically appropriate, your evaluation fee is refunded in full. This policy does not guarantee that a housing provider will approve an accommodation request.
Clinical disclosure: Payment covers the provider’s professional evaluation. The provider uses independent clinical judgment, documentation is not guaranteed, and housing providers make their own accommodation decisions under the rules that apply.

ESA and PSD Letter Companion Bundles
These bundles include the same individualized clinical evaluation plus optional digital materials prepared only after a provider issues a letter.

An optional companion certificate or ID is a convenience summary of issued documentation. It is not a government registration, is not legally required, does not certify an animal or create ESA or service-dog status, and does not replace a signed provider letter or disability-related task training.

Pricing questions
Texas ESA Letter and PSD Letter Pricing FAQs
Clear answers about evaluation fees, optional companion materials, payment and the refund policy.
How much does a Texas ESA letter evaluation cost?
An individualized Texas ESA letter evaluation costs $169 for one animal. An evaluation covering up to three Emotional Support Animals costs $219. Documentation is issued only when the Texas-licensed provider determines it is clinically appropriate.
How much does a Psychiatric Service Dog letter evaluation cost?
The Psychiatric Service Dog letter evaluation costs $249. It includes an individualized review of psychiatric symptoms, functional needs and disability-related tasks performed or being trained. A letter does not train, register or certify the dog.
Are there any hidden fees?
The listed price is the price for the selected evaluation option. Additional housing forms when needed and third-party verification support are included in every plan and are not sold as separate add-ons. Optional companion bundles are listed separately at $179 for an ESA evaluation with a companion certificate and $259 for a PSD evaluation with a companion certificate and ID.
Is an optional certificate or ID the same as an ESA or PSD letter?
No. The signed provider letter is the clinical document. An optional companion certificate or ID only summarizes basic information from documentation that has already been issued. It is not legally required, does not register or certify an animal, and does not create ESA or service-dog status.
What payment methods do you accept?
Texas Service Animals accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and PayPal. Transactions are processed through a secure, encrypted connection.
How does the evaluation-fee refund policy work?
If the licensed provider determines after the professional evaluation that ESA or PSD documentation is not clinically appropriate, the evaluation fee is refunded in full. This policy does not guarantee that a landlord or other housing provider will approve an accommodation request.
Do I need to pay again to renew or update a letter?
A renewal or updated letter generally requires a new clinical review because symptoms, functional needs and housing circumstances can change. Contact Texas Service Animals before paying if you need help identifying the appropriate renewal option.
Does a PSD letter certify my dog for public access?
No. A PSD letter does not certify, register or train a dog. Under the ADA, service-dog status depends on the dog being individually trained to perform disability-related work or tasks; businesses open to the public cannot require a certificate or letter for entry.
Ready to Begin Your Free Application?
Start with the confidential application before paying. If an ESA or PSD evaluation appears appropriate, you can select the option that fits your needs and complete an individualized review with a Texas-licensed mental health provider.
