Texas Service Animals connects Texas residents with Texas-licensed mental-health professionals for individualized Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letter and Psychiatric Service Dog (PSD) letter evaluations. When clinically appropriate, the evaluating provider may issue signed documentation for a disability-related housing or support need.

Ethical ESA Letter and PSD Letter Services for Texas Residents
Our role is straightforward: provide access to an individualized professional evaluation, clear documentation when appropriate, and practical support for Texas housing questions.
Texas-Licensed Evaluations
A Texas-licensed mental-health professional evaluates the person’s symptoms, functioning and disability-related support need. Documentation is issued only when clinically appropriate.
Housing-Focused ESA Letters
An ESA letter may support a reasonable-accommodation request involving an apartment, landlord, no-pet policy, ordinary pet rent, pet fees or a pet deposit.
Clear Companion Options
After a letter is issued, clients may request an optional Letter Companion Certificate or ID. It summarizes basic information but is not registration, legal certification or a replacement for the provider letter.
Important distinction: Texas Service Animals provides evaluation and documentation services. We do not sell, place or train animals, and a PSD letter does not replace individualized disability-related task training.

About Eddie Reyes
Eddie Reyes is a former therapist who felt called to create Texas Service Animals after seeing how meaningful animal companionship can be for people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and other mental-health challenges.
His experience, personal connection to his own Emotional Support Animal, and continued study of research about animals and mental well-being guide the organization’s education, client support and administrative process.
Eddie does not make clinical approval decisions through this administrative role. Independently licensed Texas mental-health professionals remain responsible for each evaluation and for deciding whether an ESA letter or PSD letter is appropriate.
